Engineering review before production
A bevel gear cannot be evaluated from outside diameter and tooth count alone. The review considers module or diametral pitch, pressure angle, shaft angle, pitch-cone geometry, spiral angle and hand, face width, ratio, mounting distance, backlash, material, heat treatment and intended duty.
Typical manufacturing route
A project may include material procurement, blank preparation, CNC turning, tooth cutting, heat treatment selected for the specified material, in-house lapping or grinding, deburring, marking, cleaning, inspection and protective packing. The sequence depends on gear type, hardness, quality requirement, quantity and application.

Prototype, replacement and production quantities
Agni Engineering evaluates prototypes, urgent replacement quantities, small batches and repeat production. Tooling, inspection frequency and delivery are planned according to the drawing and production schedule.
Frequently asked questions
Can bevel gear manufacturing be developed from an existing sample?
A sample can support dimensional study, but the most reliable route also includes the mating member, shaft angle, mounting information, speed, torque, material or hardness information and failure history.
What information is required for quotation?
Provide a dimensioned drawing or sample, quantity, module or diametral pitch, tooth counts, pressure angle, spiral hand where applicable, ratio, material, heat treatment, accuracy requirement and expected duty.
Can one member be replaced without the mating gear or pinion?
It may be possible after inspection, but a matched-pair approach is normally preferred because tooth contact, backlash and mounting are interdependent.
How is delivery time determined?
Delivery depends on geometry, quantity, material availability, tooling, heat treatment, finishing, inspection scope and technical approval.
